What is the Fest of Ale?  It is a charity beer festival to help raise funds for the WHAS Crusade for Children. Last year we raised $14000.00 for the Crusade, and of course look to increase that donation amount this year.  Funds are raised through ticket sales for the event and through our raffle.

Day of event notes:

In case of severe weather, the safety of everyone at the event is the most important thing. If by chance any severe weather brews up, we will evacuate the area. Please go to your cars or to the local YMCA to wait out the weather. Once things clear, we will resume the festivities and will add time on to the end of the event in case this does occur. The chances are slim, but we want people to be prepared. If you leave the event due to weather, make sure you keep your cup and leave your wristband on. We cannot replace either of these.

There are a handful of tickets available. You can pick them up online, or buy them at either Keg Liquors locations (Clarksville & New Albany). We will have a limited amount of tickets for sale at the gate, these are first come, first served, so if you plan on purchasing a ticket at the event, you will have to arrive very early to wait in line. Tickets must be paid in cash at the event, as we cannot accept credit cards there. You can pay with credit cards online or at Keg Liquors. We suggest buying tickets in advance to assure your entry and to keep the lines entering the event running smoothly. Tickets purchased today are $50.

If you wish to bring chairs to event, you are more than welcome to. We can also allow pop up tents, but they can only be set on the side edges of the event. You must keep them within the fenced in area for the event, as you cannot come and go, and no alcohol is allowed to be carried out of the festival area. If severe weather does strike, please lower your tents, or remove the top cover. The Fest of Ale is not responsible for any damage to your belongings brought to the event, but you are responsible for any damage the might cause.

Make sure you bring your ID. Everybody entering the event must be at least 21 years old and have your ID. This is state law.

Please bring cash for the food vendors and for the charity raffle. There is no ATM at the event, and we cannot accept credit cards.

Umbrellas are fine for the event, just please be aware of the other attendees if its necessary to use one. In the case of rain, we would suggest a poncho over an umbrella.

Where is the festival held? The festival is held at The New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater.  The Address is 201 E. Water Street, New Albany, IN 47150

How do I get there?

How much are tickets? Tickets for the Fest of Ale are $40 in advance, and $50 the day of the event.  Tickets can be purchased at Keg Liquors and online starting April 15. If you are purchasing tickets at the event, please note that we cannot take credit cards at the festival.  You can always stop by the store the day of the event and pay with a credit card there.  We will post on our social media pages and on the main page of kegliquors.com if there are no more tickets available.

What about designated drivers?  Designated drivers are highly encouraged.  They get into the festival for free, but do not get to sample any of the beer or wine at the event.  If you need a taxi, go to any of the volunteers at the event and we will call a taxi for you.

How much can I drink at the festival? This is NOT a “drink as much as you can in 4 hours” event. Anyone who appears to be intoxicated will be denied additional samples and may be deemed to be in violation of public intoxication statutes. Enjoy what you wish, but please be responsible.

How long is the festival? The festival runs from 3pm to 7pm. Our permit does not allow any pouring after 7pm. Please do not beg, plead, coax, implore, beseech, wheedle, or cajole for more beer.

Do you need volunteers? Every festival needs

What about children or animals?  The event is for 21 and older, so please leave your children at home.  Please also leave your pets at home.   A beer festival is no place for Fido!

Will there be food available?  Food trucks will be available on site.

This year we've decided to go online with the Fest of Ale program.  In the past, we've thrown away 80%-90% of the programs left behind after the Fest, and rather than waste a lot of natural resources on paper programs, we've  You can also find a .pdf version of the program at this link:
